Our Roles
Systems Operator
Keeping our advanced automation technology running smoothly; our System Operators ensure the continuous flow of products through our automated systems and support their maintenance and efficiency.
Machine Operator
Oversee equipment such as conveyors and cranes; you’ll take a hands-on approach to ensure continuous operation, troubleshoot faults, and maintain a safe working environment for all colleagues.
Warehouse Operative
At the heart of the operation, you will be responsible for handling, moving, and organising goods to ensure efficient and safe delivery to our stores.

My Home Bargains journey started in October 2023, so I’m still relatively new to the business. I’ve worked in Logistics all of my working life and have had some great opportunities during my career, but never more exciting than this one! The new Distribution Centre we are building is the first of its kind in the UK and will be using the very best technology in warehouse automation. We have some very talented people in Home Bargains and this provides some great opportunities for career progression, with some exciting new roles and to be part of something that’s leading edge – Very exciting times ahead. 👏 I’ve had the chance to go and see how it works in other sites in Europe and can honestly say, I’m so excited! The addition of our new DC, will help us unlock more capacity and support the growth plans of the business – Who wouldn’t want to be part of that!?

Shift Manager, Omega DC
I have been with Home Bargains for 15 months, initially serving as a Shift Manager on the Red Shift at our Axis Distribution Centre. I am now part of the Omega Shift Manager team, where I’ll be collaborating with our fantastic new colleagues to continue delivering excellent service to our stores. 🙌 I joined HB because I wanted to be part of the company’s exciting growth journey. The development of the state-of-the-art Omega Distribution Centre caught my attention, along with the continuous expansion and refurbishment of new stores. It’s an inspiring time to be involved with HB. I look forward to seeing the Omega site in action, increasing our capacity to support the company’s growth strategy. I’m also eager to embrace new working methods and the opportunities presented by the automation at the new site. Building and working with our new team to create a positive, productive culture at the DC is something I’m excited to be part of. 😁
