  • Planned Preventative Maintenance: Execute all scheduled PPM tasks in a timely manner, ensuring adherence to standards set by the facilities maintenance work management system (ARMS).
  • Fault Finding and Rectification: Identify and rectify faults within the building maintenance scope, guaranteeing operational efficiency and minimizing downtime.
  • Repair and Work Requests Handling: Address repair and work requests promptly for distribution centre, office facilities, role cages, and ancillary equipment, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.
  • Contractor Supervision: Oversee on-site 3rd party contractors, ensuring completion of all required documentation and adherence to safety protocols.
  • Inventory Management: Maintain accurate inventory of critical spares through the inventory control system to facilitate smooth maintenance operations.
  • Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safe systems of work policies and procedures, particularly when working at height or in confined spaces.
  • Asset Management and Development: Contribute to the development of the ARMS asset management system, ensuring accurate records and efficient maintenance scheduling, while also providing support and coaching to technicians and apprentices in their development plans.
  • Issue Escalation: Escalate any issues or problems encountered during planned or unplanned maintenance activities to the Building Maintenance Team Manager for resolution.
Salary£40,987 plus night shift premium if applicable (19% Night shift allowance paid between 10pm - 6am)

Package Description

  • Available Shifts:
    • Days - 6am - 6pm
    • Nights - 6pm - 6am (19% Night shift allowance paid between 10pm - 6am)
  • 5.6 weeks paid holiday per year including bank and public holiday allowance rising to 6.6 weeks upon 5 years' service

Minimum Criteria to Apply

  • Recognised Engineering Apprenticeship desirable or qualifications in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering
  • A mix of the electrical and mechanical skills
  • An understanding of hydraulics and pneumatics is preferable
  • Welding experience preferable although full training is provided
  • Working at heights is essential
  • Ability to read electrical and mechanical drawing
  • Excellent problem solving and fault diagnosis skills
  • Ability to plan and organise work schedules between production requirements
  • Ability to work with on own with minimal supervision is imperative
  • Ability to remain calm when under pressure
  • Ability to priorities conflicting issues that require resolutions
