  • Picking: Follow picking instructions.
  • Machine Operation: Safely operate Order Picking Units (OPUs), LLOPs, and other role-specific equipment, ensuring pre-use checks are completed and equipment is safe to operate.
  • Manual Handling: Engage in pedestrian picking and secure picking, involving significant manual handling.
  • Goods In & Out: Load and unload trailers, including receipt, checking deliveries for accuracy, storing, and dispatching stock or equipment safely.
  • Health & Safety: Adhere to and promote health and safety practices and procedures at all times. Maintain full compliance with all health and safety training, policies, and processes.
  • Stock Management: Store and rotate stock as per operating procedures, assist with inventory controls when required, and report damaged or missing stock to Section Managers.
  • Hygiene Standards: Keep the warehouse environment clean and organised while maintaining and using equipment in line with operational requirements.
  • Reporting: Work safely in a busy warehouse environment with operational machinery, reporting any safety hazards, equipment defects, or malfunctions to the Leadership Team promptly.
  • Teamwork: Support various functions within the Warehouse Operation as needed, ensuring seamless collaboration across teams.

Package Description

Salary & Hours

  • £12.70 per hour (plus 19% night shift allowance 10pm to 6am).
  • Average 38.61 hours per week.
  • 3 on 3 off - 12 hour shifts.
  • Day shift - 7am to 7pm.
  • Night shift - 7pm to 7am.

Minimum Criteria to Apply

  • Experience working within a warehouse/distribution environment would beneficial but not essential as full-training will be given
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to organise, prioritise, and manage workloads effectively.
  • Proactive problem-solving and teamwork, with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
