  • ​Provide weekly updates to the Head of HR to include general update on site and statistical analysis
  • ​Work on agreed HR-related continuous improvement projects for the benefit of all on site
  • Drive forward a proactive HR function on site building working relationships with all departments on site; operations, training, health and safety, security
  • General management of team; holidays, time off work, return to work interviews, time management, performance and objective achievement
  • Plan, direct and coordinate the full administrative function
  • Lead and direct the HR team to deliver a comprehensive HR service to the DC
  • Employee relations, including managing absence, disciplinary, grievance and sickness
  • Measure employee satisfaction and identify areas that require improvement
  • Performance management: coaching managers on performance management issues and processes
  • Learning and development: providing guidance on development for managers and their teams
  • Recruitment and retention: managing talent and succession planning; taking overall responsibility for recruitment activity and campaigns
  • Reward advice and supporting employees on Company benefits
  • Policy and procedures implementation and compliance
  • Ensure managers are up to date with changes to any policies
  • Working with Senior Managers; coaching them and advising on all people issues
  • Dealing with complex disciplinary/grievance and HR issues, using HR and Company knowledge evidencing appropriate decision making skills

Package Description

  • Competitive salary
  • Based at our Amesbury Distribution Centre the role covers Monday - Friday usually from 9:00am - 5:00pm
  • 5.6 weeks paid holiday per year including bank and public holiday allowance rising to 6.6 weeks upon 5 years' service

Minimum Criteria to Apply

  • MCIPD Level 7 (or Masters in Human Resource Management) qualified for a minimum 3 years
  • A minimum 5 years’ generalist or specialist practitioner experience
  • Experience of leading a HR Team
  • A genuine passion for HR with a keen eye on the horizon
